Malawians with keen interest in following sports and politics on Thursday wake up to a rude call hearing about the demise of a long-time sports journalist and former Minister of Sports during the United Democratic Front rule, Moses Dossi.

His daughter, Susan who is member of parliament for Chikwawa West Constituency has confirmed to local media that her father died in the early hours of today (Thursday) at Adventist Hospital in Blantyre.

Meanwhile, there is no immediate program from either the family or government, funeral arrangements will be known later.

Dossi who at some point corresponded with MBC and Power 1o1 FM informing the masses about what was going on in the world of sports has died at the age of 70.
