Johannesburg, South Africa – Zimbabwean mixed martial arts veteran Elvis “Bulawayo Bomber” Moyo has made a triumphant return to the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) after a seven-year hiatus, capturing the EFC heavyweight title at EFC 122.
Moyo defeated Anthony Morel from Reunion Islands with a verbal submission just two seconds into the fourth round.
The 41-year-old former boxing champion, who weighed in at 118kg, showcased his experience and resilience against Morel (115kg) relentlessly putting pressure forcing Morel to submit verbally, marking a dramatic end to the contest.
“I’m delighted to have won this fight and now I’m a champion,” Moyo said after his victory.
“I worked hard for this, and I’m happy to have made this remarkable comeback… This means everything to me,” Moyo said.
Elvis Moyo, nicknamed “Bulawayo Bomber” due to his powerful striking, has had a long and varied combat sports career.

Before transitioning to MMA, Moyo established himself as a professional boxer, holding the World Boxing Federation (WBF) All-Africa heavyweight title on multiple occasions.
