Mzuzu, Malawi – Moyale Barracks FC pulled off a stunning 2-0 upset against league leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in a TNM Super League match at Mzuzu Stadium.

Lameck Mithi scored a clinical brace, powering the Lions of Kaning’ina to a crucial win.

The 3rd Battalion soldiers’ organization and discipline were key, as they completed the match without a single substitution, showcasing impressive fitness and defensive stability.

Head coach Pritchard Mwansa praised his team’s focus and execution of the tactical plan.

 “It is all about teamwork, composure, and fighting spirit throughout the 90 minutes,” Mwansa said.

Bullets assistant coach Gilbert Chirwa acknowledged missed chances, saying, “We failed to utilize our chances and got punished on the counter, we’ll remain focused.”

Moyale Barracks moves to 10th with 36 points, boosting their survival chances. Big Bullets remain top with 56 points, but the defeat narrows their lead.
