Raiply Malawi has boosted the Nyika Media Club (NMC)’s environmental conservation efforts by donating 500 tree seedlings ahead of the club’s tree-planting exercise scheduled for February 28, 2026, at Kalambwe Primary School in Nkhatabay District. 

Speaking during the handover on Friday, Raiply Spokesperson Dalitso Chimwala said the company recognizes the vital role the media plays in shaping society. 

> “We value the critical role journalists play in informing and influencing communities, and this gesture reflects our commitment to working with them in promoting sustainability,” Chimwala said. 

He added that beyond supporting institutions such as NMC, Raiply is implementing its own reforestation programme, targeting about 58.6 hectares of community land. 

Receiving the donation, NMC Chairperson Feston Malekezo hailed the support as a timely boost to the club’s environmental agenda. 

> “As journalists, our responsibility goes beyond reporting on environmental degradation. We must also take a leading role in conserving natural resources,” Malekezo said. 

The club has been actively promoting environmental sustainability, having planted trees last year at Thandazga on the outskirts of Mzuzu City.
