
Malawi Pool Association (MAPA) will on Saturday, 30th April 2022 conduct general elections in all the three regions of the country.
The development comes in order to replace executive members who were appointed on interim basis to run the affairs of the regions for a period of one year effective from April 2021 through 31st March 2022
According to the statement issued by MAPA’s General Secretary, Grayson Angozo Chisanje states that in accordance with the constitutional requirements it notify the general public atleast not less than 30 days prior to elections.
“All positions for the current interim members will now officially expire on 31st March 2022 as the Association will hold the Regional General Elections concurrently on Saturday, 30th April 2022,” reads part of the release.
It further stated that MAPA will be issuing subsequent statements regarding preparations and elections guidelines in due course.

The last time Malawi pârticipated in an international Pool tournament was 9 years ago in 2013 when it hosted it in the city of Blantyre.
