Former Mighty Mukuru Wanderers coach, Mark Harrison, says unless the Club gets lead of some unsporting behaviour behind the scenes, the club has prospects of a brighter future.

The remarks against the rumours of continued unsporting acts that are happening at the Lali Lubani side which have all along hinders the team’s success.

In a latest interview, Harrison said Politics at Wanderers makes life of coaches at the team difficult anytime.

“There were a lot of problems behind the scenes, I felt like there were too many politics. They made life very difficult on a day-to-day basis. I just felt like taking me down and then just decided to leave. I gave everything to the Club. A little bit unlucky feeling like we could win trophies last season.” Said Harrison.

The Briton said the possibility of winning all trophies last year was there but said he was not given that freedom to make a difference at the club and that prompted him to leave the team last season. Meanwhile, he said if politics has been taken away, they team can do better.

However, listening to President for the Nomads, Dr Thomson Mpinganjira, one can connect the issue that the coaches are not given that freedom to apply their work at the team.

Recently, Mpinganjira described Harrison as naughty in an interview with one of the Online platforms, Wa Ganyu, which he said he could have fired him way back.

“You know the thing about Harrison, he could not listen to what we were telling him. Trying maybe to tell him this should not go in that way but you could see some resilience, I could have fired him way back but these Europeans are clever, I could have paid him a lot of money that is why I kept him.” Highlighted Mpinganjira.

The Nomads now have hired a panel of a Burundian coach, Nsazurwimo Ramadan and Meke Mwase who are working on a condition of winning the league and Cups this season.

They play a trophyless season in 2023 and they last won the TNM Super League in 2017 under the tutelage of their current Technical Director, Yasin Osman.
